National Root Beer Float Day


Today, August 6th is National Root Beer Float Day! The root beer float was initially called the black cow after Frank j. Wisner, the owner of a mining mountain in Colorado called Cripple Creek Cow Mountain. Let's celebrate a beautiful summer day with a refreshing root beer float; here are the steps to follow for a perfect root beer float.

Step One: Grab a nice, tall glass. For a little extra coldness, stick the glass in the freezer for 10-20 minutes. Step Two: Pick out your favorite root beer and pour it into whatever glass you choose! Step Three: Pick out your favorite vanilla or vanilla bean ice cream and put one to two scoops on top of the root beer! Step Four: Put as much whipped cream as you would like on top of the ice cream and top all that with a cherry! Step Five: put in a straw and a spoon to enjoy your delicious root beer float!

Now for anyone twenty-one and over, here is a video to follow for an adult root beer float. The ingredients you may need include: root beer of your choice, smirnoff whipped cream flavored vodka (1.5 oz), and just a splash of half and half.
