Summer Bucket List Goals (while remaining safe and social distancing)

This summer has been so much different than previous summers. COVID-19 has changed the way people live life, and has changed the normal summer routine. Concerts, festivals, car shows, weddings, and other events with big crowds have been cancelled in order to ensure safety. While many fun summer events have been cancelled, that doesn’t mean we can't have a great summer. Here is a new and improved summer bucket list with the consideration of social distancing and safety.

  • Camping

  • Going to the beach

  • Trying new summer inspired recipes

  • Grilling out

  • Watching the sunset on the beach

  • Watching the sunrise on the beach

  • Kayaking/Canoeing

  • Backyard games for kids – sort of like a field day. You could include a slip-n-slide, Minute to Win It Games, corn hole, kam-jam, etc.

  • Bonfire and s’mores

  • Family movie night

  • Stargazing: bring blankets, drinks, bug spray and snacks!

  • Have a picnic

  • Start a new hobby: reading, painting, photography, art, health and fitness, etc.

  • Water balloon fight

  • Attend a drive-in movie

  • Tube down a river with family and friends (6ft apart from non-family members)

  • Golfing

  • Mini golfing

  • Read a book

  • Try a new baking recipe

  • Go to the zoo

  • Make a DIY craft

  • Start a virtual book club with friends

  • Go on a road trip for the day (bring a mask!)

  • Make a summer playlist

Even with the new safety restrictions, there are still many ways to have a fun and eventful summer. Try out this list, add some ideas of your own, and have a fun summer!
