10 Inexpensive Outdoor Activities for June

Getting Active Again

Now that it has warmed up in Michigan these last few weeks and the stay-at-home order has been lifted this past week, it's time to kick off your outdoor activities! Although some beaches, restaurants and campgrounds will still be closed for an undetermined amount of time, we will have to improvise and get innovative. So let's get out and get some sun!

#1 Catch Some Rays and Get a Tan

Check out what beaches are open in your area or lay out on your own deck. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

#2 Camp in your Backyard

Most campgrounds aren't opening back up until the end of June, due to the amount of prep time needed. So pitch a tent in your backyard and hang some twinkle lights for aesthetics!

#3 Go Hiking

Find some trails near your neighborhood and get some exercise. Don’t forget to stretch!

#4 Go Hammocking

Relax with a book while hanging from a tree. Find a nice shaded area in your favorite park!

#5 Purchase a Pool

Splurge this Summer and buy yourself a pool. Grab some floaties while you're at it!

#6 Have a Picnic

Grab your family, a blanket and some snacks. Enjoy your dinner and watch the sunset!

#7 Make some Iced Tea

It’s national iced tea month!

#9 Have a Bonfire

Roast some hot dogs, marshmallows or create your own campfire pies!

#10 Go Biking

Dust off your bikes from the long winter. Don’t forget your sunglasses and hat!
