Five Things to Do in Grand Rapids This Spring
As the weather gets warmer in West Michigan, being outside becomes more enjoyable and there seems to be more things to do around the area. Here are five things you can do in Grand Rapids this spring:
Visit the Meijer Gardens - This 158-acre botanical garden and outdoor sculpture park has so many things to see. This spring, you can see the butterflies at Meijer Gardens now until April 30th!
Bicycle - Ride your bike around town and enjoy the city, or ride your bike on a trail and enjoy nature. Need a bike? Stop by the Grand Rapids Bicycle Co. to buy a bicycle or cycling essentials (helmets, water bottles, bike parts, etc.). They can even repair your bicycles!
Visit a lakeshore - Make a trip to Grand Haven or your favorite lake. It will probably be a little chilly, but the views are worth it. Bring along some food from the Bridge Street Market, layer up, and bring a blanket!
Find murals - There are so many awesome murals around the city. Now that it's warm, it's easier to walk around, admire, and take photos of the murals.
Buy plants - If you've been waiting to buy plants because of the cold and dark winter, now is the time to buy some! Head to the Downtown Market, Peace & Toil, Kennedy's Flowers & Gifts, Romence Gardens & Greenhouses, Stems Market, Rebel, or your favorite local greenhouse or flower shop!
