DIY Halloween Crafts
With Halloween right around the corner its time to add some spooky decorations to your home. Here are some ideas for DIY crafts you can do with your family to get in the Halloween sprit.
Pumpkins are a classic Halloween decoration. There are multiple ways to transform these into spooky friends. Painting your pumpkin instead of carving it, add some glow in the dark paint to make your design glow. Paint your pumpkin black before you paint it transform your pumpkin into a black cat, witch or other spooky creature.
Mason jars can be transformed into spooky friends in multiple ways. Add gauze bandage and some googly eyes for a spooky transformation. Paint them solid colors and paint on or add stickers to mimic jack o lantern faces. Or, use tape to keep the areas of the jar free from paint for a see through effect. Use these jars as candle holders, or as storage throughout your home.
Create spooky effects with your window through using window paint. There are many spooky friends that can be peeking through your window: ghosts, witches, goblins and more. Or free hand your own spooky scene in your window. If you don't enjoy painting, buy window clings that are Halloween themed.
Your yard can have many spooky decorations besides for the classic Halloween lights. Make a ghost to hang from trees. Use a Styrofoam ball for the base, and pin a small white sheet to the ball. Add a face through felt cut outs, or paint the sheet itself for the effect.
