Establish a normal routine you will do every time you are leaving your home. Keeping this same routine day after day, ensures you will never leave your home unarmed and protected. It also can set your mind at ease that whenever you return, your home is secure and safe to enter. Your routine can include, securing all windows, locking up personal valuables in a safe, locking all doors. Adding these simple steps to your daily routine is easy and is worth the extra time!

Getting to know the people in your community is important. It not only allows you to gain trust of your surrounding but the people within them. This also gives you can extra pair of eyes to look out for your home while you may be gone at work or vacation. If by chance they do see something off putting they can notify you and the police right away.
