Seasonality is the fluctuation, or trends, that occur periodically in real estate, that are able to be seen between different seasons.

Examples of this would be:

  • More/fewer homes for sale in the area

  • The time of year that homes are for sale

  • The weather/climate of the area (based on time of year)

Seasonality effects the selling of homes and is based on the examples that are listed above. The trends and fluctuations are dependent upon factors that can either decrease or increase the chances of the house selling within the set time period.
